Christie is a Marine Consultant based in our London office.
Capt. Christie Pinto is a Master Mariner having sailed as a Master on board AET Tankers. His seagoing experience was predominantly on tankers. After coming ashore, Christie was employed as a DPA/CSO and HSEQ manager for ship owners/managers. Prior to joining MTD he also worked for a renowned maritime consultancy firm in London serving the energy and marine sectors.
Since joining MTD in 2016, Christie has been involved in the investigation of numerous cargo quality and quantity disputes and claims involving petroleum products. He has particular experience in petroleum contamination claims, the carriage by sea of liquids in bulk and the storage and blending of petroleum products.
Christie is an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute (AFNI) and a Freeman of the Honourable Company of Master Mariner (HCMM) London. He holds a degree in Physics & Marine Science and an MBA.
