Technical Administrator Assistant - Laboratories - Cardiff

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to suit a candidate with excellent ‘attention to detail’ skills and the ability to work with a minimum of direction and plan ahead in a busy analytical laboratory service environment who is ideally experienced in laboratory admin. The essential part of this role involves the registering of client samples into the Laboratory Information Management System [LIMS] to accurately reflect all the relevant details including the clients’ requests & documentation prior to correctly labeling the physical samples for release to the laboratory.

The successful candidate will possess the desire to scrutinize their own work at all times, good verbal and written communication skills in order to liaise with staff of all grades and clients when necessary, and possess skills in MS Office Excel, Word, and Outlook. Candidates will be conversant with working in a fast-paced diverse environment requiring solid multi-tasking skills and decisiveness under pressured & unannounced situations.


Dependent on experience.

There is a degree of flexibility in setting the time that will be worked. It will be from mid-morning to early/mid-afternoon Tuesday to Friday, say 10:30 am – 2:30pm. There may be an option of additional hours on occasion.
